Murder Charge Dismissed: Our client was accused of shooting someone after an argument at a night club. The police charged them with murder. At a preliminary hearing, we were able to show that the witnesses were unable to identify our client and had only given a vague description that matched any number of people. Case dismissed.
Murder Charge Dismissed: Our client had left a public gathering after a fight had broken out. He had car trouble and was fixing his car along wth his father, whom he had called to help. A person was shot and our client was named. We were able to show that the actual shooter and his friends were allowing our client to take the fall for a crime he did not commit. Case dismissed.
Forgery Charge Dismissed: Our client sold his car to someone that paid him with a fake money order. Our client was arrested when he attempted to cash the check. We were able to present email and technical data that showed he was a victim and not a perpetrator. Case Dismissed.
Federal Gun Charged Reduced to Misdemeanor: In a very rare occurrence in Federal Court, we were able to get a a misdemeanor. Our client purchased a gun for another person who had deceived her. He then sold the gun and it was used in a murder in another jurisdiction. Athough she was charged as being a "straw purchaser", we were able to show how the actual criminal and unscupulous gun dealer had duped our client. Cased Reduced.
Drug Trafficking reduced: Our client's home was searched after police had found a package of marijuana being shipped to her home. In the home, police also found a large sum of cocaine. She faced trafficking charges for both. After a motion to suppress, the State was sufficiently motivated to reduce her charges, give her first offender treatement and no further jail time. In addition, we managed to get her out on bond where her first lawyers had failed to do so.
